Northwest Indian News, a project of the Tulalip Tribe, represents a critical stage of northwest tribes ongoing push to reclaim sovereignty. By telling our own stories - on our own terms - we’re both perpetuating the story telling tradition and undermining the highly stereotypical representations of Native people we often see in the media.  I was really honored to be featured in the news piece below.  If you’re interested in seeing more of their work, go here is a link to more NWIC News.
