When I got a call from a producer for CBC Radio’s On the Coast, my chest started thumping in response too what I recognized my first opportunity to share my ideas in front of a home town crowd.  CBC Radio is broadcast in British Columbia, Canada, which is where I am originally from and where most of my family still lives.  Since many of the people I care about don’t use the internet regulary, they haven’t had much exposure to my work beyond what I share when I’m visiting.  Participating on a radio program that anyone can easily access meant people like my Mom could finally get a chance to share in the good things that are happening right now. 

Unfortunately, my Mom tuned-in to the wrong station and missed the show completely.
